The Veterinary Patient Care Manager role is onsite in Orchard Park, NY, with pay of $35–$38 per hour, depending on experience. Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center has provided veterinary care in Western New York for over 60 years and this role supports its General Practice, Critical Care, and ICU departments. The manager oversees patient care staffing, workflow, and team performance to support efficient, high-quality veterinary care. The role develops staff, maintains clinical standards, and promotes communication and collaboration across departments and with clients and referring veterinarians.

What you'll do

• Supervise and support patient care staff across day-shift operations
• develop staffing schedules
• coach, train, and evaluate LVTs and VAs
• maintain patient care standards and clinical protocols
• support hiring and onboarding
• review timecards and time-off requests
• lead departmental meetings
• assist with client concerns
• provide hands-on clinical support during high-volume or staffing needs
• monitor workflow and identify improvements.

Why this role

Requires a New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician credential and at least two years in veterinary management or supervision. Experience in a fast-paced, multi-department veterinary hospital is preferred.
