What you'll do

• Review insurance policies, explanations of benefits, and medical documentation
• resolve denial appeals, payment reviews, balance billing, and claims generation
• communicate with insurance carriers, patients and families, and internal teams
• answer patient and insurance calls
• perform clerical tasks such as faxing and emailing
• report concerns to the Revenue Cycle Manager or Supervisor.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of insurance explanations of benefits and Medicare/Medicaid billing compliance, and at least one year of insurance verification or authorization experience. Three to five years of DME or medical billing experience is preferred.
