What you'll do

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities while on duty
• oversee and evaluate patient care through nursing rounds
• assign shift responsibilities to nursing and auxiliary staff
• coordinate unit activities and patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
• assist physicians with rounds, examinations, treatments, minor surgery, and deliveries
• help maintain staff schedules and orient new licensed staff.
