The Director, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering role is hybrid in San Mateo, CA, with an annual base salary range of $220,000–$250,000. The role is based at SnapLogic’s headquarters and requires working in the office two days per week. SnapLogic’s platform connects enterprise applications, data, APIs, and AI agents across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. The director sets platform architecture and roadmap while leading the team responsible for the control plane, data layer, and production operations. The role balances customer commitments, technical debt, reliability, and platform innovation, and partners with SRE, application teams, support, and company leadership to improve platform health and scale.

What you'll do

• Set architectural direction for platform reliability, performance, and scalability
• lead and grow the engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and team development
• own reliability and zero-downtime SLA processes, root cause analysis, and production support
• lead cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes migration work
• guide strategy for the MongoDB data layer
• champion AI adoption in the software development lifecycle and engineering productivity
• partner with application teams, SRE, support, field teams, and leadership.
