Job overview

The Cook role is onsite at the Genentech campus in South San Francisco, CA, with a Monday-through-Thursday or Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Pay is $23–$26 per hour. The cook will support cafes across campus; Bon Appétit Management Company operates cafes for corporations, universities, and museums. The Cook prepares and serves food to established standards, supporting scheduled meal service and a safe, clean kitchen. The role includes following recipes and food-safety procedures, maintaining equipment and storage areas, and assisting with production planning and supply handling.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes and service schedules
• portion and serve meals at appropriate temperatures
• maintain kitchen cleanliness and safe food storage
• operate and maintain kitchen equipment
• assist with production planning, records, ordering, and receiving
• report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents
• follow HACCP and company safety procedures.
