CNC Lathe Operator – Second Shift

The CNC Lathe Operator – Second Shift role is onsite in Geneva, IL. Compensation is $18–$24 per hour. The position supports production operations at Smith & Richardson. The operator runs production machines and inspects parts to help ensure work meets production rates, workmanship standards, and quality requirements. The role also supports machine upkeep, documentation, safety, and movement of parts through production.

What you'll do

• Operate Swiss or CNC multi-turret lathes
• inspect the first part and parts during production using micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and other equipment
• verify material and size
• monitor machines and tooling
• modify tool offsets
• identify nonconforming product
• complete work orders and inspection documentation
• perform preventive maintenance checks
• follow safety standards
• move parts to the next operation
• assist with setup.
