Aircraft Maintenance Service Writer

The Aircraft Maintenance Service Writer role is onsite in Peoria, IL, with a weekday day-shift schedule. Compensation is $24–$25 per hour. The role supports Byerly Aviation’s aircraft maintenance operations by coordinating service orders, quotes, invoices, and parts activity. The service writer translates customer needs into work orders and helps technicians and maintenance leadership move jobs through the shop. Accurate records, pricing research, and parts coordination support the completion and billing of aircraft maintenance work.

What you'll do

• Translate customer needs into technician work orders
• prepare customer quotes and bills
• enter data
• assist the Director of Maintenance with new service orders, quotes, and invoices
• assist the Parts Manager as needed
• post and issue parts to the shop floor and technicians
• enter discrepancies and corrective actions from maintenance discrepancy sheets
• research and establish parts and repair pricing for maintenance quotations.
