The Cook role is onsite at Crown Park Nursing Home in Cortland, NY. Compensation is $18 per hour. The cook prepares and serves meals for residents in a long-term care nursing facility. The role supports consistent, appealing, and cost-effective resident meals by following standardized recipes, portioning and checking food quality, and maintaining safe kitchen practices. The cook may manage the kitchen when the Food Service Director is absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes
• serve meals or prepare them for delivery using correct portions and temperature standards
• taste prepared food for quality
• clean the kitchen after preparation and service
• store or discard excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
• manage the kitchen in the Food Service Director’s absence.

Why this role
