Part-Time Facility Maintenance Technician

The Part-Time Facility Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Miami Beach, FL. Compensation is not specified. The New World Symphony trains music school graduates for leadership roles in classical music and shares orchestral music with audiences and communities. Working with the Facilities Director and facilities personnel, the technician maintains building systems and property at New World Center and/or the organization’s residential complex. The work helps keep facilities, public areas, and grounds safe, clean, and operational.

What you'll do

• Perform daily building inspections and assigned maintenance requests
• maintain building systems
• perform routine and unplanned building maintenance, HVAC work, light and fixture replacement, painting, drywall repair, basic carpentry, plumbing, and appliance repairs
• maintain grounds and public areas
• move furniture and equipment
• assist with shipments and maintenance-related pickups and deliveries
• provide on-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays.
