The Staff Veterinarian role is onsite in Everett, PA, with an annual pay range of $175,000–$225,000. Lampire Biological Laboratories’ animal care program supports animal health and welfare and compliance with applicable regulations. The veterinarian oversees veterinary care and humane treatment, directs clinical treatments, and guides animal care staff. Veterinary oversight, training, documentation, and participation in welfare audits support the facility’s care program and regulatory responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Oversee the Animal Care and Use Program and Program of Veterinary Care
• ensure humane treatment under policies, approved protocols, and regulations
• participate in IACUC protocol review and site visits when requested
• assist with CAPA investigation reports
• train animal care staff
• guide husbandry, housing, procurement, quarantine, stabilization, and biosecurity
• prescribe and direct clinical treatments
• support preventive medicine, surveillance, diagnosis, treatment, necropsy, sedation, anesthesia, analgesia, handling, and immobilization
• participate in welfare audits
• research alternative methodologies.

Why this role

A DVM or VMD degree and current Pennsylvania veterinary license are required; Lampire will assist qualified candidates with Pennsylvania licensure. The posting notes 0–5 years of practicing large-animal experience and farm animal husbandry experience as a plus.
