The Fleet Systems Lead role is onsite in San Jose, CA, at Etched’s Santana Row office. Compensation is not specified. The role is part of the Supercomputing organization, which builds software for large-scale inference cluster deployments. The lead sets technical direction and develops the Fleet Software team responsible for provisioning, configuration, safe software and firmware rollouts, recovery, and fleet monitoring. This work helps deploy and operate inference systems reliably for customers at scale.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the Fleet Software team
• set priorities, hire, and mentor engineers
• define architecture and roadmap for fleet provisioning, configuration, updates, and recovery
• establish safe software and firmware rollout practices
• guide telemetry and log pipelines
• develop monitoring, alerting, and analysis tools
• partner with Node Systems and deployment teams
• turn deployment lessons and incidents into engineering priorities
• participate in design reviews, code contributions, and hands-on debugging.
