The Pipe Fabrication Machine Operator I–II role is onsite in Calera, AL, on a Monday–Friday first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The stated pay is $23.00–$28.48 per hour. The operator joins McWane Plant & Industrial’s pipe fabrication and machining operation. The operator measures, threads, and fits flanges on ductile or steel pipe using manual machine tools and material-handling equipment. Accurate fabrication and safe production support the operation’s customer-focused supply of plant and industrial products.

What you'll do

• Measure, thread, and adjust flange fit on pipe
• operate lathes, threaders, cranes, forklifts, and pipe cut-off saws
• test flange fit
• apply glue and tighten flanges
• move pipe between operations
• meet quality and production objectives
• paint and package finished product
• maintain a safe, clean work area.
