Lead Cybersecurity Engineer

Job overview

The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer role is hybrid, with one onsite day per week at a choice of facilities in Peoria, IL; Chicago, IL; or Dallas, TX. Compensation is $155,000–$160,000 per year. The role supports application security engineering for Diversified Services Network's client environment. The engineer partners with development teams to identify, assess, and remediate security risks across applications and cloud environments. The work advances secure-by-design practices, security testing, and integration of security into DevOps and software development processes.

What you'll do

• Analyze, validate, communicate, and advise on security defects
• consult with engineers, architects, product owners, and leaders
• enable and monitor automated defect-detection tools
• coordinate penetration testing and security assessments
• manage assessment findings through defect remediation
• guide application and cloud security practices across assigned applications.
