The Phlebotomist role is onsite in Burnsville, NC. Pay is $18–$21 per hour. Mountain Community Health Partnership’s clinical team uses this role to support patient care through specimen collection, laboratory testing, and customer service. The phlebotomist collects and processes specimens, performs waived testing, and maintains accurate records and equipment. The role connects patients, providers, and laboratory services while supporting safe, reliable clinic operations.

What you'll do

• Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary techniques. Prepare and process specimens for testing
• conduct CLIA-waived in-house testing and document results
• perform quality control and maintain compliance records
• enter patient, specimen, insurance, and billing information in the EMR
• maintain laboratory equipment
• handle, transport, and document specimens properly
• educate patients about collection procedures
• monitor for adverse reactions
• protect confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
• support quality improvement, compliance, and clinic operations.
