The Lifeguard role is onsite at the Evelyn Kirrane Aquatics Center in Brookline, MA. Starting pay is $20 per hour. The Town of Brookline is accepting applications for part-time certified lifeguards at the center. The lifeguard helps maintain safety at the aquatics center by meeting the stated swimming and water-treading requirements and holding current lifeguard and professional-rescuer CPR certifications or equivalents. Qualified candidates may receive a free American Red Cross lifeguard training course in exchange for working at least six hours per week for at least six months after course completion.

What you'll do

• Maintain current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification or equivalent and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification or equivalent
• meet the stated swim, timed retrieval, and water-treading requirements
• work available shifts, which may include early mornings, daytime/afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
