The Aircraft Mechanic III (F-15) Avionics/Electrician role is onsite at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home, ID, and/or Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC; the posting also requires travel within the United States and overseas. Compensation is not specified. The position is pending contract award and supports F-15 aircraft maintenance operations. The mechanic maintains aircraft mission readiness by inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, installing, and testing avionics and electrical systems, while coordinating with other maintenance disciplines and providing technical guidance as assigned.

What you'll do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, and test aircraft avionics and electrical systems
• interpret technical orders, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• document maintenance and corrective actions
• maintain tool and equipment accountability
• coordinate with Production Control, Quality, Engineering, and other maintenance disciplines
• provide technical guidance and assist with training less-experienced personnel as assigned.

Why this role

Requires four to six years of aircraft avionics and/or electrical maintenance experience, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and travel documents. Must be able to work Monday–Friday, 0700–1530, and other shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, or adjusted schedules as required. F-15 experience is preferred.
