Childcare Assistant Director

The Childcare Assistant Director role is onsite in New Braunfels, TX, with compensation of $17–$19 per hour. The position supports daily operations at Children’s Lighthouse of New Braunfels. Working with the Director, the Assistant Director helps maintain a safe, organized, and compliant childcare center. The role coordinates staff coverage, supports teachers and families, and helps ensure children are supervised and center procedures are followed.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily center operations
• help manage staff schedules, breaks, and classroom coverage
• monitor classroom ratios and supervision
• support teachers with classroom and behavior concerns
• assist with staff training and onboarding
• communicate with parents
• support tours, enrollment, and registration
• maintain required records and incident reports
• help ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing requirements
• monitor classroom cleanliness and safety
• assist with opening, closing, events, and classroom coverage.
