The Senior Medical Scientist, Drug Safety role is onsite five days per week in San Diego, CA; the stated California pay range is $185,000–$210,000 per year. The scientist supports safety oversight for investigational and marketed products by reviewing safety data, detecting signals, preparing reports, and supporting regulatory compliance. The role collaborates with drug safety, clinical, quality, data management, and regulatory colleagues to help ensure safety information is reviewed and reported accurately and on time.

What you'll do

• Review safety observations and signals
• prepare safety data for governance reviews and aggregate reports
• conduct signal detection
• develop safety surveillance plans
• support safety sections of clinical and regulatory documents
• assist with quality assurance and inspections
• monitor serious adverse event reconciliation
• perform medical review and case follow-up when applicable.
