Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist role is onsite in Albany, NY, with pay of $28–$30 per hour based on experience. The specialist manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections processes to support accurate financial records and timely payments and billing. The role works with operations and sales to resolve discrepancies, maintain account records, and improve billing and vendor payment processes.

What you'll do

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices, client billings, and payment approvals
• prepare and distribute monthly client invoices
• reconcile AP/AR accounts, balances, and financial records
• maintain account registers, ledgers, and journals
• investigate billing discrepancies with operations and sales
• monitor payment deadlines, follow up on overdue accounts, and support collections
• respond to vendor and customer inquiries
• set up and maintain vendor and customer accounts
• recommend billing and vendor payment process improvements
• generate reports and work with the accounting manager and controller.
