Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Apple Grove, WV, and pays $32–$42 per hour. The technicians will work at a new steel mill entering commissioning, placed through Mural Industrial in partnership with an industrial equipment manufacturer. The role maintains heavy mechanical systems on rolling mill equipment so the facility can operate reliably. Work includes preventive maintenance, inspection, alignment, and component service in a physically demanding industrial environment with rotating shifts.

What you'll do

• Maintain rolling mill mechanical systems
• coordinate roll changes
• inspect and replace roll chocks and bearings
• check gearbox lubrication and maintain seals
• align couplings and shafts
• maintain conveyors and table rolls
• support hydraulic cylinder inspections
• perform preventive maintenance on mill entry and exit equipment and coilers.
