What you'll do

• Greet patients, families, and visitors
• answer and direct calls and take messages
• review patient accounts and forms
• verify demographics and insurance eligibility
• collect or forward payments and prepare receipts
• verify charges
• schedule appointments and document cancellations or no-shows
• create telephone encounters and route calls for triage
• maintain fax and document systems
• link records and test results to patient accounts
• release records according to policy
• maintain complete documentation
• follow safety procedures and participate in performance improvement.
