Outpatient Substance Abuse Counselor

The Outpatient Substance Abuse Counselor role is onsite in Pasadena, Maryland. Pay is $25–$31 per hour. Evolve Life Centers provides behavioral healthcare, substance use treatment, outpatient services, and recovery housing. The counselor supports clients and families through substance use education, counseling, assessment, treatment planning, and referrals. The role coordinates with treatment teams and community providers, documents progress, and contributes to ongoing improvement in program quality and effectiveness.

What you'll do

• Conduct intake assessments, intervention, triage, referrals, and follow-up
• provide counseling and education on chemical dependency, co-occurring disorders, and relapse prevention
• participate in treatment planning and lead or co-lead groups
• provide case management
• document assessments, plans, and progress
• report relevant observations to the treatment team.
