The Traveling Field Technician, Utility Asset Management role is onsite, based in Hattiesburg, MS, with assignments throughout Mississippi. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. Davey Resource Group’s utility asset management teams support electric utility and communications infrastructure partners. The technician collects and verifies field information about utility infrastructure, helping clients manage assets and maintain accurate records. The role contributes through inspections, field audits, data capture, safety awareness, and correction of GIS database errors while traveling to job sites.

What you'll do

• Inspect and record existing utility infrastructure
• operate handheld computers, GPS units, cameras, and other field technology
• record observations
• coordinate access with property owners and agencies
• drive and maintain company vehicles, including ATVs
• navigate varied terrain and weather
• identify hazards
• review or correct GIS data errors
• perform light infrastructure maintenance and pole-height measurements
• collaborate with project teams
• travel 75%–100% for onsite duties.
