What you'll do
- Tend heated presses that mold and cure rubber goods
- open and start presses
- apply mold lubricant
- position rubber preforms and, when needed, metal parts in mold cavities
- remove molded articles and flash
- clean molds
- trim, inspect, and package acceptable parts
- maintain production records and clean work areas. May cut rubber preforms and stamp carton information.
