The Registration Specialist role is onsite in Somers Point, NJ, with a Tuesday–Friday schedule, 32 hours per week, between 5:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Pay is $18–$22 per hour. The role supports Jersey Shore Ambulatory Surgery Center, a patient-centered outpatient surgery center partnered with Compass Surgical Partners. The specialist coordinates patient registration and front desk operations, helping ensure accurate scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, documentation, and communication across patients, physicians, and clinical teams. The role will cross-train with surgical scheduling.

What you'll do

• Register patients and verify demographics, insurance coverage, benefits, authorizations, and documentation
• review scheduling, referral, and insurance information
• verify eligibility and authorization requirements
• communicate with referring offices, patients, physicians, and staff to resolve missing information and discrepancies
• validate authorization details and codes
• document information in registration and medical record systems
• collect copayments
• maintain confidentiality
• greet visitors, answer calls, and coordinate front desk workflow
• perform clerical, supply, quality, safety, and reception-area duties.
