Substation Groundman

The Substation Groundman role is an onsite, full-time position in Victor, MT, paying $30–$34 per hour based on experience. The groundman provides field support to substation linemen, electricians, and supervisors during construction, upgrades, and maintenance. The role assists with site preparation, material handling, excavation, and grounding support while following safety requirements in high-voltage environments.

What you'll do

• Assist substation crews with construction, maintenance, and upgrades
• clear debris and organize material areas
• support non-energized installation activities
• load, unload, stage, and move materials
• perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site restoration under direction
• maintain tools and work areas
• assist with underground utility identification
• follow safety procedures, job hazard analyses, and PPE requirements
• support extended hours, overtime, and travel as required.
