Portuguese, Dutch, Italian & German Linguist (Secret Clearance)

The Portuguese, Dutch, Italian & German Linguist position is onsite in Fairfax, VA; remote work is not eligible unless required and approved by the customer. Compensation is not specified. The work supports the customer’s information needs through careful language analysis, quality validation, and compliance with applicable procedures.

What you'll do

• Monitor and categorize communications
• provide oral and written English summaries
• translate, transcribe, and interpret foreign-language and English material as assigned
• operate customer-directed recording and computer equipment
• identify speakers and maintain slang and code lists
• prepare and store digital work products
• validate transcripts and translations
• follow minimization procedures and customer formats
• perform related administrative documentation.

Why this role

Portuguese or Dutch fluency is required, with language assessment in speaking, listening, reading, and writing; must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. A bachelor’s degree or at least four years of combined work and educational experience is required. Work may include Monday–Sunday coverage and shifts of 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
