The Safe & Sound Lead Teacher role is onsite in Columbus, OH. Compensation is $21.50 per hour. The role supports the YWCA Columbus Safe & Sound classroom program. The teacher leads classroom operations and age-appropriate learning activities while guiding assistant teachers and supporting children’s development. The role promotes a safe, inclusive environment and maintains communication with families and staff about children’s progress and daily needs.

What you'll do

• Design and implement age-appropriate educational activities
• supervise, support, train, and mentor assistant teachers
• observe and assess children’s progress
• maintain a clean, safe, organized classroom
• build relationships with children and families
• use positive behavior management
• follow licensing and regulatory requirements
• communicate with parents, staff, and management.
