What you'll do

• Performs computerized axial tomography procedures. Maintains equipment and supplies. Contributes to departmental planning and workflow. Ensures patient safety and comfort. Fosters staff development and teamwork. Reviews patient history and pertinent information. Explains procedure and position according to protocol. Administers contrast material. Recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reaction. Selects proper technique/protocol to obtain optimal data
• performs scan. Evaluates images and sends to print network and/or workstation. Organizes daily work schedule and responds to emergencies. Performs daily calibration check on equipment
• cleans and performs minor maintenance. Logs problems and usage
• alerts supervisor as appropriate. Maintains wall units. Participates in continuing education. Performs on-call duties and/or works variable shifts. Provides patient care
• comfort, safety and patient confidentiality. Demonstrates competency in CIS, RIS, and PACS. Implements/updates department specific policies, procedures and standards. Provides leadership in development, optimization, and application of system protocols. Communicates daily all patient related issues or problems. Performs related duties as assigned. Requires Basic Cardiac Life Support, ARRT-CT, and State of New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation License.
