Security Associate – 1st Shift

Job overview

The Security Associate – 1st Shift position is onsite in Charlotte, NC, and pays $17 per hour. The associate supports Carvana’s Safe & Secure team at a vehicle inspection center. The role protects associates, customers, visitors, and vehicles by monitoring access, documenting vehicle movement, conducting safety audits, and responding to hazards and emergencies. Accurate scans and reports help maintain site safety and operational flow.

What you'll do

• Provide service-first interactions
• serve as the gate contact for associates, vendors, and visitors
• monitor cameras and investigate intrusion alerts
• enforce entry and exit procedures using the Safe & Secure App and RFID
• document vehicle movement
• respond to emergencies and use first aid, CPR, and AED training when needed
• maintain site operations in varied weather
• conduct safety audits
• scan vehicles and report location research.

Why this role
