This role exists to perform critical care and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary diseases, managing basic respiratory equipment and quality control.

What you'll do

• Perform critical care and diagnostic procedures utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases on patients of all ages.
• Perform basic respiratory equipment maintenance, quality control measures and other administrative or technical tasks.
• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment.
• Perform a range of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics.
• Demonstrate competency in proper airway care.
• Assess patients appropriately, interpret results accurately, and suggest alternative respiratory treatment.
• Exhibit competency in the performance of routine patient assessment and in the ability to correctly recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction.
• Function as a respiratory care protocol assessor.
• Communicate regularly with physicians and nurses about patient care plans and updates.
