The Teaching Assistant — Math Interventionist role is onsite in Gilbert, AZ. Compensation is $13.25–$18.28 per hour. The position supports middle-school academic support through targeted math instruction under the school’s Response to Instruction and Intervention framework. The role helps students performing below grade level strengthen foundational mathematics skills through small-group instruction, progress monitoring, and a structured learning environment. Working with certified math teachers and RTI² coordinators, the assistant helps track student growth and adjust instructional groups.

What you'll do

• Deliver targeted math instruction individually or in small groups
• reinforce ratios, proportional relationships, fractions, and introductory algebraic thinking
• use evidence-based interventions and teacher-designed lesson plans
• collect progress-monitoring data
• assist with benchmark assessments
• maintain attendance and behavior logs
• prepare instructional materials
• supervise student transitions and occasionally assist with lunch or bus oversight
• protect student-record confidentiality.

Why this role
