Collision Center Mechanic

Job overview

The Collision Center Mechanic role is onsite in Indianapolis, IN, with compensation of $60,000–$125,000 per year. Speedway Collision’s Indianapolis team repairs mechanical damage associated with vehicle collisions. The mechanic inspects, diagnoses, removes, installs, and repairs affected vehicle systems, following OEM procedures and shop safety and quality standards. The role coordinates with estimators, repair planners, body technicians, parts personnel, and management to complete repairs safely and accurately.

What you'll do

• Inspect vehicles for visible and hidden collision-related mechanical damage
• diagnose mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, cooling, and drivability concerns
• remove, reinstall, repair, or replace affected components
• perform diagnostic scans when assigned
• assist with alignments and inspections
• document findings and repairs
• follow OEM procedures
• conduct quality-control checks
• maintain a safe work area and protect customer vehicles.
