The Inpatient Psychiatrist is an onsite role based in Christiansburg, VA. Compensation is not specified. This position is with Carilion Clinic in partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. The role exists to provide acute stabilization and coordinated discharge planning for inpatient psychiatric patients. The psychiatrist will work in a structured, team-based setting and engage in academic medicine by teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians.

What you'll do

• Manage a daily census of 10-12 patients.
• Deliver acute stabilization and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents.
