The Activity Specialist – Music role is onsite at PS 169 in Brooklyn, New York, NY. Pay is $30 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Center for Family Life in Sunset Park provides neighborhood-based family and social services to promote positive outcomes for children and adults. The specialist creates and facilitates age-appropriate music activities for school-aged participants in afterschool and summer programs. The role develops music instruction and performance opportunities while supporting teamwork, communication, and positive experiences for youth.

• Design age-appropriate music curricula and group activities
• provide weekly vocal music and composition instruction
• submit weekly lesson plans
• lead activities and supervise field trips
• collaborate with youth on songs and performances
• support special events and program operations
• attend weekly professional development meetings.
