The Cook role is onsite at 1999 K Street Northwest in Washington, DC. Pay is $22.00 per hour. Restaurant Associates provides dining and event catering for museums, performing arts centers, and corporations. The cook prepares and serves food to established standards, maintains safe and clean kitchen operations, and supports production, ordering, and service schedules. The role contributes to consistent food quality and service for customers.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes and instructions
• portion and serve meals at appropriate temperatures
• maintain service records
• clean kitchen and storage areas
• operate and maintain kitchen equipment
• assist with production planning, recordkeeping, ordering, and receiving
• report maintenance needs and safety issues
• follow HACCP and food-handling standards.
