The Director, Electrical Engineering Systems role is onsite in Kearny, NJ, with a salary range of $185,000–$280,000 per year. Thea Energy is developing a stellarator approach to commercial fusion energy and a zero-emission energy source. The director leads electrical system design and delivery for the Eos integrated stellarator, managing teams across electrical distribution, power electronics, and electronics systems engineering. The role establishes technical direction and engineering processes, and coordinates system integration with internal teams, utilities, and external engineering partners.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering groups
• establish planning, prioritization, technical reviews, and decision processes
• own plant electrical architecture and system modeling
• guide power converter and magnet power supply development
• oversee embedded control and instrumentation hardware
• manage vendor and utility interfaces
• lead testing, design reviews, documentation, safety, and commissioning readiness.
