What you'll do

• Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, and machining parameters
• set up and operate machines
• align, load, and operate equipment
• oil and grease machines
• adjust operating speed and load
• arrange material-handling equipment
• monitor finished products against quality and quantity requirements
• examine and discard defective goods
• clean and recalibrate machinery
• maintain daily production reports
• check newly installed machines and report efficiency
• and perform other assigned duties.
