The Client Care Specialist – 2nd Shift role is an onsite, full-time position at the Crossroads facility in Syracuse, NY. The schedule is Thursday through Monday, 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. Starting pay is $17 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour second-shift differential. The role supports residents at the Rescue Mission’s supportive residence for men with mental, physical, or developmental disabilities. The specialist helps maintain a safe, supportive environment and assists residents in building or maintaining independence. The work includes medication dispensing, facility rounds and monitoring, client support, documentation, and referrals to appropriate internal services, while treating clients with respect and maintaining confidentiality.

What you'll do

• Oversee dispensing medications
• help residents maintain a safe and clean environment
• build rapport and provide support, encouragement, and motivation
• complete rounds and monitor facilities
• facilitate drug and breathalyzer tests
• distribute personal care items and bedding
• enforce guidelines
• refer clients to internal services
• and document and share pertinent client information while maintaining confidentiality.
