Electrical Engineering Intern is an onsite internship/co-op in Exeter, NH, for the spring 2027 semester, January through April. Compensation is not specified. SIG SAUER manufactures firearms, electro-optics, ammunition, and related products; this intern supports electrical component design for robotic control of firearms and departmental goals. The intern assists with design, software and firmware tasks, testing, validation, documentation, and hands-on assembly and rework of printed circuit board assemblies, cables, and electromechanical systems. The work contributes to product testing and integration in collaboration with research and development designers, test technicians, and engineers.

What you'll do

• Process engineering design change orders
• assist with firmware and software development using Linux, Bash, and Python
• assist with tests and experiments
• analyze test data and write reports
• test and validate electromechanical systems and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• develop and run test scripts
• document designs, procedures, and configuration management
• collaborate across disciplines
• participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities
• perform hands-on rework and assembly of PCBAs, cables, and electromechanical systems
• manage prototype inventory
• follow firearm and range safety procedures
• travel infrequently as required.
