What you'll do

• Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls
• connect and direct hose lines
• force entry for firefighting, rescue, and salvage
• remove people from danger and administer first aid
• climb ladders and carry hose
• attend firefighting and first-aid training
• operate firefighting equipment
• perform department maintenance, hose testing, and hydrant flow testing
• occasionally drive the fire engine when the Engineer is absent.
