Direct Service Professional Intern — Paid Training

Job overview

The Direct Service Professional Intern role is onsite in Sacramento, CA, with pay of $16.90–$18 per hour. All’s Well Healthcare partnered with California’s Department of Developmental Services on a paid, three-month job-shadow training program supporting adults with developmental and intellectual needs. The intern shadows an experienced mentor for up to 30 hours per week, learning to support individuals’ independence, daily living, community participation, health, and personal goals. The program may lead to a permanent position if there is a mutual fit.

What you'll do

• Shadow and learn from an experienced Direct Service Professional mentor
• support communication, social interaction, daily living skills, community participation, access to services, education and job-readiness goals, health and wellness, rights and inclusion
• document services and progress
• keep the individual central to decisions.
