Head Start Teacher — 52-Week Position

What you'll do

• Plan and implement educational activities
• provide a safe, nurturing, individualized classroom environment
• balance child-initiated and teacher-led activities
• support children’s independence and hygiene
• supervise teacher assistants and volunteers
• integrate health, safety, nutrition, dental health, and family learning
• participate in screening, assessment, lesson planning, IEP development, observations, and recordkeeping
• conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences
• attend meetings and field trips
• maintain required ratios and supervision
• protect confidential information.
