The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (PRN) role is onsite at the Main Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. Compensation is $44.00–$50.60 per hour, depending on education and experience. The role provides nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures. The nurse assesses and monitors patients before, during, and after adult cardiac catheterization procedures, administers medications, and responds to changes in patient status. The role contributes to safe procedural care and continuity across the multidisciplinary team.

What you'll do

• Assess patients and verify required chart information, labs, history and physical, allergies, and consents
• explain procedures to patients and families
• provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for adult cardiac catheterization procedures
• monitor patients and report changes to physicians
• ensure supplies and equipment are available
• respond to life-saving situations
• administer medications as ordered and monitor responses
• provide discharge education when appropriate
• collaborate across the care team
• support post-catheterization patients and staff education.
