Agentic-First Software Engineer

The Agentic-First Software Engineer role is onsite in Dallas, TX, with base compensation of $150,000–$265,000 per year. The engineer supports Jiffy’s e-commerce platform, spanning storefront, checkout, internal tools, and platform services. The role directs AI coding agents to deliver production software across parallel work streams, while applying engineering judgment to architecture, code review, testing, and deployment. Building internal AI tooling and improving agent-driven workflows contributes to the engineering organization’s delivery capacity and software quality.

What you'll do

• Orchestrate AI coding agents across three to six concurrent work streams
• translate product intent into specifications and agent-executable plans
• review changes, run quality assurance, land pull requests, and verify production health
• design systems across Rails, Solidus, GraphQL, React, and Kubernetes
• enforce secure and idiomatic code
• build internal AI tools, prompts, integrations, and evaluation harnesses
• drive test coverage, monitor deployments, respond to incidents, and own shipped services
• partner with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers on AI-native workflows
• identify and automate remaining manual work.
