Senior Shop Mechanic — Bike and Ski is an onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA. The stated pay range is $23.25–$27.89 per hour. The mechanic is a member of REI’s retail store Shop team, helping customers enjoy outdoor activities through equipment service and recommendations. The role assembles, services, and repairs bikes and/or snow-sports equipment to industry standards while providing customer service in the shop and on the sales floor. The senior mechanic also helps guide, train, and mentor teammates and contributes to safe, high-quality shop operations.

What you'll do

• Assemble REI equipment
• service and repair bikes and/or snow-sports equipment to industry standards
• provide customer service in the shop and on the sales floor
• maintain equipment and a clean, secure, safe work environment
• produce quality work
• train teammates in shop-service functions
• mentor inexperienced staff
• research and report significant quality and safety issues.
