The CNC Machinist, Large Lathe role is onsite in Rochester, NY, with pay of $22–$34 per hour. Precise Tool & Manufacturing supports aerospace, defense, medical, energy, and power-generation industries through advanced CNC machining and custom manufacturing. The machinist sets up and operates large CNC lathes to produce precision parts. The role supports production quality by interpreting blueprints, following safety and quality requirements, and maintaining equipment and the work area.

What you'll do

• Read blueprints and set up jobs to specifications
• operate large CNC lathes to produce required quantities
• follow machine safety and guarding requirements
• load raw material and move finished parts using hand tools or cranes as needed
• check parts against basic quality standards
• perform routine machine maintenance
• deburr parts
• support the quality management system and AS9100 requirements.
