Cybersecurity Engineer II

The Cybersecurity Engineer II role is onsite in Tidewater, VA and San Diego, CA. Compensation is $95,000–$160,000 per year, depending on experience. The role supports the Navy’s global Live Virtual Constructive environments. The engineer helps secure enterprise IT and network systems by implementing secure configurations, applying security controls, supporting vulnerability remediation, and contributing to secure architectures and authorization documentation. This work helps engineering and operations teams maintain secure systems in support of mission requirements.

What you'll do

• Implement and maintain secure configurations for systems, networks, and applications
• apply STIGs, patches, and security controls in accordance with RMF requirements
• support vulnerability assessments and remediation
• assist with secure system architecture development and maintenance
• support ATO documentation and cybersecurity engineering
• collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure system security.
