The role leads purchasing for Amerita’s pharmaceutical business and partners with pharmacy operations, finance, and clinical leadership. This position exists to guide pharmaceutical procurement, inventory management, and buying strategy so products remain available while supporting gross profit, growth, patient care, and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do
- Lead pharmaceutical buying strategy, sourcing, product selection, and purchase timing
- optimize cost of goods through contracts, formularies, and strategic sourcing
- oversee ordering, replenishment, allocation, and inventory controls
- manage supplier relationships and purchasing agreements
- address shortages, backorders, recalls, and supply risks
- monitor inventory and performance metrics
- partner with finance, compliance, audit, pharmacy operations, and clinical leadership
- lead and develop the centralized purchasing team.
