The Crane and Heavy Equipment Service Technician role is onsite in Boise, ID. Pay is $48.30 per hour. The technician supports Maxim Crane’s fleet, which includes cranes, boom trucks, trailers, pickups, and semis, and contributes to construction projects. The role exists to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment so it meets manufacturer specifications and is ready for critical lifts. It combines mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting with component fabrication and post-repair testing.

What you'll do

• Inspect and diagnose cranes and heavy equipment
• perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical and hydraulic systems, and brakes
• operate hoists and forklifts to move components
• test repairs against OEM specifications
• clean and lubricate equipment
• fabricate or modify parts
• inspect components with micrometers and gauges
• troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.

Why this role

Requires five or more years of hands-on mechanical experience, including crane background, and three or more years working with diesel, gasoline, and propane engines. High school diploma or GED required; associate or vocational/technical degree preferred.
